This is an excellent analysis. It turns out divorce rates, drug abuse, paternal absenteeism and other metrics that historically have defined the so-called breakdown of the “traditional family” are trending upward among politically conservative white folks, and trending downward among “liberals” including people of color. Who would have guessed education, employment, earning potential, and overall financial health (not party affiliation) were so closely tied to the general health and well-being of the family unit? ☕︎
